All the staff who dealt with me were very customer focused I enjoyed my visit. As for improvement how can you improve on perfection.

Although the staff of were very friendly, there was a lack of knowledge about the product I was buying. I went in for my contact lens check as my trial contacts were running out. I was told at my original contact check that I would need to make a follow up appointment to look at the health of my eye- I was not told that there would be a charge for this mandatory test. I wanted 30 pairs of lenses, but as I have an astigmatism in my left eye, I needed different contacts. The assistant tried to charge me £110 for the contacts and the eye appointment. Obviously that is a ridiculous amount so she had to check her sums again. She was unsure of the ordering service and did not know how many lenses were coming, but told me I had to pay up front otherwise she could not order them. I had to pay for the eye test and for half of the contact lenses so I paid £76 in total, not knowing what I was paying for because she could not be sure. To be fair to the assistant, she did chase it up and rang me today to let me know that my contacts were in and that I did not have to pay anymore towards it, but I think there needs to be some training for staff on how to order the contacts as it isn't really acceptable to ask people to pay for something they do not know what they are getting. I also think that getting a customer to pay £35 for a follow up contact lens appoitnment is also not acceptable because that should be included in the price of the original contact lens eye appointment. I obviously want good eye health, but to pay £35 for someone to say that they contacts are right seems a little ridiculous. I was also not told that I would have to pay for this on the first meeting- the other opticians I have been to have not charged for the lens check. I chose Boots opticians because I liked the range of glasses and thought that I would get a good service as you have a good reputation. However, what I have experienced does not give me the confidence to continue with your service.

Yes. I was looked after by Jaslin with regard to the eye test and Sarah with regard to choosing glasses. Both were exceptionally good in their gentle & open approach and using their knowledge and skills to advise me. I was very impressed.

Really professional eye test today. First time at Boots Interchange, Kempston, Bedford. Great welcome by Amy doing all the checking A pre assessments. Jaslin the Optician knew her stuff and thoroughly checked my eyes. Amy wrapped all the work up with a summary and series of recommendations both for immediate consideration & for the future.
